Dave Portnoy Unleashes Scathing Rant on Ohio State Players After Jeremiah Smith's Michigan Comments

The Michigan Wolverines have taken the last four games in their end of the regular season rivalry against the Ohio State Buckeyes, winning two games at home and two on the road against their rivals from the Buckeye State.

The Wolverines' most shocking win of all came last season as QB Davis Warren engineered a 13-10 road victory that was followed up with a midfield flag planting, a brawl, and pepper spray used to break up the fracas.

On Tuesday, news surfaced of Buckeyes superstar Jeremiah Smith's recent guarantee that he will not lose to the Wolverines over the next two seasons.

Michigan graduate and Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy could not contain his feelings as he fired back at the OSU receiver.

Portnoy, who graduated the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's in Education in 1999, shared his unfiltered thoughts on Smith and other Buckeyes' guarantees and sentiments toward 'The Game' on his X account.

"It's that time of the year everybody! When all the Ohio State greats claim the only thing that matters is beating That Team Up North! Nothing else matters! Till of course they get smacked and pretend it's not that big a deal," Portnoy said with four laughing and crying emojis.

Fans were not stingy with the comments as they shared their reactions, adding fuel to the fire with the rivalry game still over four months away.

"Buckeye alum here, I agree with Dave, our fans are very soft," one fan said. "I don't agree that the team is but the fans absolutely, lot of talk. No action.

Michigan owns Ohio State currently and is deep in their heads mentally. Cry about it or beat them are you options."

"The game matters. It's the most important game in the season. But never bigger than a championship despite what Woody said. Buckeyes!" another fan added

"Stay away from the trenches," another fan wrote

"If they win, it's the biggest fan of the year. If they lose, it doesn't matter. I hate being from Ohio!" another reader added
