Bill Belichick, North Carolina Plans Take a Turn After Reported Jordon Hudson Interference

The fever dream that is the Bill Belichick experience at the University of North Carolina has turned into the gift that keeps on giving.

In what was arguably the biggest surprise of the college football offseason, the six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach decided to accept the head coaching job at North Carolina. While he has decades of coaching experience, he has never coached at the college level.

While the decision to take a college coaching job despite trailing Don Shula by 15 wins for the right to be the all-time wins leader in NFL history was a shocking move, Belichick’s tenure in Chapel Hill continues to baffle fans. He has vowed to run the program like an NFL team, he has already added multiple lacrosse players to the roster and both of his sons are on staff.

However, arguably the most shocking development of them all has been the influence that the 73-year-old head coach’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, has on him and the program. She went viral in April for blowing up an interview he was doing with “CBS Sunday Morning,” and also prevented her boyfriend and his program from being featured on HBO’s “Hard Knocks: Offseason.”

It was a devastating development for those hoping to see what goes on behind closed doors under Belichick, but fans received exciting news on that front on Friday via Front Office Sports’ Ryan Glasspiegel.

“A docuseries featuring Bill Belichick and North Carolina football is slated to be released on Disney’s Hulu streaming service, multiple sources told Front Office Sports,” wrote Glasspiegel.

As for how the HBO deal fell apart, The Athletic reported that Hudson “played an instrumental role” in the production being stopped. The reason for this? She reportedly wanted to be “heavily involved.”

It’s unclear if Hudson will be featured in the Hulu series, but clearly her presence didn’t deter the Disney-owned company.
