The dog days of summer are here for the 2025 MLB season. With about a month remaining before the trade deadline, teams are positioning themselves to either push for the playoffs or prepare for the future.
One team that clearly focused on the postseason is the New York Yankees. Heading into Tuesday’s game, the Bronx Bombers sit at 48-36, 1.5 games ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East. The Toronto Blue Jays trail by two games.
And a big reason for the Yankees’ success is Aaron Judge. On Tuesday, Judge announced a new and exciting partnership.
"All Rise for GRAND SLAM GRAPE™! 🍇⚾"
Judge now has an official deal with Big League Chew. His face is featured on the grape-flavored pouch, which has been a staple in ballparks since 1980. According to the company’s website, more than one billion pouches have been sold worldwide.
The 33-year-old outfielder made his MLB debut in 2016 and is just five home runs away from reaching 350 in his career. This season, he has played in 84 games and leads the American League with a .354 batting average. He ranks second in home runs with 30, trailing only Cal Raleigh, and has driven in 67 runs.
Judge has been selected to seven All-Star Games and has won the American League MVP twice, including last season. He won AL Rookie of the Year in 2017 and has led the league in home runs three times.
The Yankees continue their four-game series in Toronto on Tuesday. After that, they’ll return to New York but head across town to face the Mets this weekend. The Yankees are back in the Bronx on July 8 to host the Seattle Mariners for a three-game set.
