WNBA Fans React to Kamilla Cardoso's Heated Moment While Away From Chicago Sky

The Chicago Sky now have a 5-11 record during the 2025 WNBA season after beating the Los Angeles Sparks by a score of 83 to 78 on Sunday. All-Star forward Angel Reese led the way with 24 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists in the win.

Chicago won the game despite not having 2024 All-Rookie forward Kamilla Cardoso, who is currently fulfilling an overseas commitment. She is playing for her home country, Brazil, in the FIBA Americup tournament and has missed the last two games.

During a matchup against Canada at the tournament, Cardoso got involved in a heated moment with one of her opponents.

WNBA fans loved to see this kind of fire from the second-year player. In fact, several took to social media to express their thoughts on the exchange.

"She is so iconic I’m so sorry 😭😭," one fan wrote. "and must be protected at all costs."

"I needa know what she said lmaooo," another fan responded.

"Milla loves her Brazilian teammates and Gamecock teammates 💚❤️," a fan chimed in.

"They better back off my baby," another commented. "They don’t want that I promise you."

Chicago does not play again until Sunday against the 14-2 Minnesota Lynx. Cardoso is expected to rejoin the team before this contest, meaning she will have only missed two WNBA games.

Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
