Gonzaga Women’s Sweep West Coast Conference’s Weekly Awards

After going 2-0 in the first week, Gonzaga’s Allie Turner and Lauren Whittaker swept the West Coast Conference’s weekly awards.

Turner (17.o points on 65.0 percent from the field and 65.0 percent on three-pointers, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds per game) was named the Player of the Week, and Whittaker (14.5 points on a 75.0 field goal percentage, 7.5 rebounds) was named the Freshman of the Week.

The Zags took down North Dakota State in Fargo, North Dakota, 81-66, and then Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, 72-69 on the season-opening road trip.

The first homestand starts with Colorado State on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. PT and a true non-conference test against Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m. PT. Both games will be on ESPN+.
