NFL power rankings: Patriots, Seahawks & Lions leap; Bills, 49ers & Steelers drop for Week 11

Week 10 of the regular season brought the 2025 NFL playoff picture more into focus with some contenders trying to create separation with big performances and some changing of the guard in the muddled middle.

That has the big picture of the league looking rather interesting going into Week 11. Here is Sporting News' latest look at every team, from best to worst:

NFL WEEK 11 PICKS: Against the spread | Straight-up predictions

NFL Power Rankings

1. Philadelphia Eagles 6-2 (previous ranking: 1)

The Eagles are the most complete team in the NFC, or should be, for the second half of the season. The bye helped and they should be ready to rev up everything offensively and improve defensively in Green Bay.

2. Los Angeles Rams 7-2 (3)

The Rams are led by MVP candidate Matthew Stafford with their offense looking unstoppable in the past three games. Their defense being a strong complementary group makes it feel they could match the Super Bowl 56 team.

3. Indianapolis Colts 8-2 (5)

The Colts had a worry for a long time against the Falcons but Jonathan Taylor once again delivered them in the fourth quarter and overtime. Their defense will just get better with Sauce Gardner after the Week 11 bye.

4. New England Patriots 8-2 (9)

The Patriots had some worries in Tampa Bay but Drake Maye came through again, this time with the defense taking over the spotlight for Mike Vrabel. New England is a real threat to win the AFC and hold off the Bills in the AFC East.

MORE: Why Drake Maye is the MVP favorite

5. Denver Broncos 8-2 (6)

The Broncos were sloppy at home against the Raiders but Las Vegas was even sloppier. Denver's defense gives them a chance, but they need to find a way to more points.

Sam Darnold

6. Seattle Seahawks 7-2 (12)

The Seahawks have obliterated their past two opponents in similar fashion and it's hard to ignore what kind of challenge they pose to the also red-hot Rams. Sam Darnold vs. Stafford will be fun in Week 11.

MORE: Why Seahawks are the top team in NFC right now

7. Green Bay Packers 5-2-1 (8)

The Packers need to shake off their two bad losses, to the Browns and Panthers, and get back on track for good with them losing ground in both the conference and division. A loss to the Eagles on Monday at home can be devastating.

8. Detroit Lions 6-3 (13)

The Lions unleashed the fully fury of their offense with Dan Campbell deciding to take over play-calling, just in time to have fun with a Commanders defense that was weak vs. all of Detroit's strengths.

MORE: Jahmyr Gibbs dominates with 3-TD performance vs. Commanders

9. Buffalo Bills 6-3 (2)

The Bills deserve a steep drop after a terrible performance in Miami. Buffalo needs to pick up the pieces fast with the Buccaneers, also coming off a tough loss in Florida, up next.

10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-3 (4)

The Buccaneers got going with Baker Mayfield and the passing game but Tampa Bay's defense let them down against the Patriots. The Bucs are fortunate to play in the NFC South to keep their playoff hopes alive.

11. Los Angeles Chargers 7-3 (14)

The Chargers are bolting up again with Jim Harbaugh getting his style of play. From Justin Herbert hanging in there to the running game, to coming through no matter who's back there. That Chargers defense made a key statement vs. the Steelers.

12. Kansas City Chiefs 5-4 (7)

The Chiefs had to drop a little during their Week 10 bye with several contenders around them flexing. They can be ready to roll in the second half, but the key is beating the Broncos twice and the Chargers once as a team.

13. Chicago Bears 6-3 (16)

The Bears are feeling it with Caleb Williams in Ben Johnson's offense, digging deep for more running and receiving pop. Chicago is playing tough and smart and are set up in nice expected playoff position.

14. Pittsburgh Steelers 5-4 (10)

The Steelers came back down from their Colts high with not enough offense in Los Angeles, getting out-toughed by the Chargers. Los Angeles let Aaron Rodgers down by maintaining limited weapons.

15. San Francisco 49ers 6-4 (11)

The 49ers' injuries are catching up to them, but more so for the defense minus Fred Warner and Nick Bosa. The offense can only do so much with Mac Jones and a mostly healthy group when they can't stop much.

Trevor Lawrence Jacksonville Jaguars 092025

16. Jacksonville Jaguars 5-4 (15)

The Jaguars will regret blowing their big lead in the fourth quarter to the Texans as Trevor Lawrence and the offense can't be clean enough to put away games for the defense. Jacksonville's playoff hopes are fading fast.

17. Baltimore Ravens 4-5 (19)

The Ravens are feeling it more every week with Lamar Jackson and the defensive adjustments hitting the spot of late, too. The Ravens are creeping closer to taking back the AFC North.

18. Houston Texans 4-5 (21)

The Texans seemed down for the count and for the season against the Jaguars until their improbable rally with Davis Mills. The defense can always keep them in games.

19. Carolina Panthers 5-5 (18)

The Panthers played strong defense overall against the Saints, but their offense once again disappeared around Bryce Young without him dominating in the running game. That inconsistency that will keep him from making a playoff run continues right now.

20. Minnesota Vikings 4-5 (18)

The Vikings are in for more wild rides with J.J. McCarthy as the starter on offense. The second-year QB and the team should benefit from more playmaking support.

21. Dallas Cowboys 3-5-1 (20)

The Cowboys have fading playoff hopes coming out of their Week 10 bye. Dallas will playing with plenty of emotions the rest of the season, led by Dak Prescott, after tragedy struck at a tough time last week.

22. Atlanta Falcons 3-6 (22)

The Falcons played the Colts tough in Berlin but their run defense let them down big-time and they got a little too predictable. Atlanta's inconsistency has become maddening.

23. Arizona Cardinals 3-6 (23)

The Cardinals got overmatched early by the Seahawks' passing game and defense and couldn't recover in Seattle. At least Jacoby Brissett, Trey McBride and others continue to fight to get to the next level.

24. Cincinnati Bengals 3-6 (25)

The Bengals should fix a few things on their defense coming out of the bye, but Cincinnati just might not have not enough talent there. Joe Flacco will do his best to keep moving the offense at a high level.

25. Washington Commanders 3-7 (24)

The Commanders went from upsetting the Lions in the divisional round of the playoffs last season to getting routed by that same team badly fewer than a year later. Washington struggled to get much down without a healthy Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin. Washington just needs to flush this washout of a season and rebuild in 2026.

26. Miami Dolphins 3-7 (29)

The Dolphins found some inspired defense despite moving Jaelan Phillips earlier in the week. They also rode De'Von Achane and the running game to big things, a perfect game plan to take down the Bills.

27. New Orleans Saints 2-8 (31)

The Saints didn't light it up with Tyler Shough in the rookie second-rounder's second start in Carolina. However, he found comfort in his two remaining reliable receivers, Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson. The defense needed that get-well feeling for Kellen Moore, too.

28. New York Giants 2-8 (26)

The Giants are feeling it with Jaxson Dart making plays with whoever is around him, but it was sad the team couldn't hold a lead in Chicago as soon as he left the game with a concussion. It's just bad injury luck continuing for Brian Daboll.

29. New York Jets 2-7 (30)

The Jets didn't get a lot of help from Justin Fields and the offense again vs. the Browns. But they used a strong performance on special teams and defensive help to secure a win at home. Winning a second straight game has to make Aaron Glenn feel better about him.

30. Las Vegas Raiders 2-7 (28)

The Raiders can't find enough offense against better defenses. Geno Smith is headed toward starting only one season for them.

Dillon Gabriel

31. Cleveland Browns 2-7 (27)

The Browns have shown more competitive spirit with Dillon Gabriel running Tommy Rees' offense, but their defense and special teams let them down big time on the road in New York.

32. Tennessee Titans 1-8 (32)

The Titans had a week without a loss as part of Tennessee's Week 10 bye. Wins will remain scarce in the second half, with the only goal being seeing steady progress from QB Cam Ward ahead of hiring him a new coach.
