West Virginia redshirt sophomore wide receiver Cam Vaughn has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List, an honor presented annually to the nation’s top pass-catcher.
Vaughn transferred to WVU this offseason from Jacksonville State, following head coach Rich Rodriguez to Morgantown. The Georgia native was a breakout performer last year, leading Jacksonville State with 48 catches for 803 yards and five touchdowns. That effort earned him All-Conference USA Freshman Team honors.
He appeared in 14 games and started the final eight, posting standout performances in big moments. Vaughn caught nine passes for 183 yards and a score in the Cure Bowl against Ohio, and had a two-touchdown outing against Louisiana Tech.
Originally recruited as a quarterback, Vaughn made the switch to wide receiver before the 2023 season. He played quarterback in high school at Temple (Ga.), where he accounted for over 5,600 total yards and 51 touchdowns during his career.
He was also named to Phil Steele’s Preseason All-Big 12 Third Team heading into the 2025 campaign.
