The Nasdaq Is Leading a Messy Session

The stock market is messy because of all the jockeying ahead of tomorrow's jobs report.

In midmorning trading, the S&P 500 was up 0.2%, with just under half of the index's stocks on the rise. The Dow was down 60 points, or 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite, after lagging behind on Tuesday, was leading with a gain of 0.9%.

The top performing themes were growth, high beta, and momentum. Small-caps were also holding their own--the Russell 2000 index was up 0.3% gain after rallying on Tuesday.
