Report – Inter Milan Get Serious About Signing €35M Rated Versatile RB Leipzig Star

Inter Milan are reportedly serious about signing RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri could invest €30-35 million in a deal for the Belgian.

Inter Milan are still thinking about how they’ll complete their attack for next season.

The Nerazzurri have signed Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma already. Meanwhile, teenage striker Francesco Pio Esposito will have a place in the Nerazzurri’s senior squad next campaign.

However, on the other hand, Inter are certainly looking to offload Mehdi Taremi. And they will look to sign a forward with a different profile to replace the Iranian international.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Inter coach Cristian Chivu is determined to bring in a player who can give more versatility to the attack.

And one target that Inter have identified for this purpose is RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda.

The 25-year-old would not come cheap. RB Leipzig are hardly known for letting their players go for bargain fees.

However, Inter feel that a deal could be attainable for around €30-35 million,

Then, the Corriere suggest, Openda does have the perfect profile for Chivu’s needs.

The Belgian international is not really an out-and-out centre-forward. But he has the one-on-one dribbling ability and pace to play off the shoulder of a more advanced striker.

That means that Openda could partner Lautaro Martinez or Sebastiano Esposito at Inter. On the other hand, he could also play alongside Marcus Thuram.

Then, the Belgian would also crucially be able to play on the left of the attack in a 3-4-2-1 shape, the Corriere suggests.
