The Baltimore Ravens had the best record in the AFC in 2023 at 13-4, earning them home-field advantage throughout the playoffs before a loss in the conference title game to the eventual world champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Last year, Baltimore tied for the fourth-best record at 12-5 before bowing out early again in the postseason to the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium in the divisional round.
Could next year be “their year?”
Pro Football & Sports Network predicted each team’s best- and worst-case scenarios for 2025. It thinks the Ravens will hit double-digit wins either way.
BEST-CASE SCENARIO
15-2
“As long as Lamar Jackson is their quarterback, the Baltimore Ravens will contend in the AFC,” PFSN wrote. “It’s the rest of the roster that has me excited, as they’re loaded from top to bottom on both sides of the ball. Bringing in DeAndre Hopkins and Jaire Alexander could help them out on both ends of the perimeter. Rookies like Malaki Starks and Mike Green have the potential to contribute right away for Baltimore.
“They have a dominant run game, a talented pass rush, and one of the best HC-QB combos in the NFL. If their core stays healthy, there’s a chance they end up with the best record in the AFC.”
WORST-CASE SCENARIO
10-7
“In the last six years, the Baltimore Ravens have reached double-digit wins five times,” PFSN wrote. “The only exception was in 2021, when Lamar Jackson missed five games. The evidence is clear — the Ravens are a serious contender as long as he’s their quarterback. Their worst-case scenario would be if Jackson missed time due to injury.
“If he goes down, a backup quarterback would inherit a young offensive line that’s still fairly unproven and a passing attack without an elite WR2 option. That could see the Ravens give up the AFC North crown.”
