Prayers are pouring in after a beloved athlete died in a hotel fall at 43 years old.

A beloved Ironman athlete tragically died after falling from the third floor of a hotel this week. Niket Srinivas Dalal, the first blind Ironman in India, died on Tuesday. The 43-year-old athlete was killed after falling out of a hotel.

Dalal, known for being a skilled cyclist and swimmer, also worked as a motivation speaker. He didn't let his blindness stop him from pursuing his goals, which included competing in Ironman events. The Ironman typically involves a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run.

The Ironman athlete died after falling from the third floor of the Kartiki hotel. The tragic incident occurred around 8:30 a.m.

Preliminary investigations, including statements from hotel staff and his family members, revealed that Dalal moved to the hotel on Monday night after a fire broke out at his home in the Khadkeshwar area. He checked into Room 317. The following morning, he was found lying below the hotel building.

Dalal was taken to govt medical college and hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Kranti Chowk police registered a case of accidental death.

Prayers are pouring in for his friends and family members on Wednesday afternoon.

"Tragic loss," one fan wrote.

"Awful news," one fan added.

Circumstances surrounding the death remain pretty unclear on Wednesday.

"Nobody is sure if he lost his balance and fell from the third floor, or if he ended his life," Kranti Chowk inspector Sunil Mane said. "We are investigating the case."

Another officer said, "Nobody knows what exactly happened. The preliminary autopsy report cited multiple fractures in his arms."
