Lakers release injury report for Friday's game versus Pelicans

Slowly but surely, the Los Angeles Lakers are inching their way back to full health as they move along on their five-game road trip this week. LeBron James practiced with their G League affiliate on Wednesday and Thursday without any ill effects from the case of sciatica he's been dealing with, and guard Gabe Vincent seems to be progressing in his rehab from a sprained ankle.

Guard Austin Reaves returned to game action on Monday after missing three games due to a groin strain, and big man Maxi Kleber recently returned from an abdominal strain. Los Angeles will face the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, and it could get another player back from injury — rookie forward Adou Thiero.

Thiero, who has been unable to play dating back to summer league because of a knee injury, is listed as questionable. James and Vincent will continue to be out.

Thiero, a second-round pick in June's draft out of the University of Arkansas, is 6-foot-7 and 220 pounds and has plenty of athleticism. He can slash his way to the hoop and get to the free throw line, and he seems to have the potential to become a very good defender as well.
