Fans Notice the Same Thing About Paige Bueckers Before Caitlin Clark, Fever Game

Paige Bueckers is set to play in what is perhaps the biggest game of her WNBA career thus far. This comes in the form of a much-awaited matchup between the Dallas Wings and the Indiana Fever on Sunday, which will pit Bueckers against reigning Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark for the first time at the WNBA level.

Clark missed the Fever-Wings game earlier this season due to injury, which pushed back the highly anticipated individual clash against Bueckers. The Fever superstar recently returned to action following another injury spell — she played in her second game back on Friday against the Atlanta Dream — and Clark is fully expected to suit up on Sunday against Dallas.

The Wings took to social media on Saturday night to share some photos of the players boarding the team plane as they headed to Indianapolis for the Fever game. The fans, however, could not help but notice the same thing about Bueckers.

“Wheels up to Indy 🛫” the team posted on Instagram.

More than a few supporters took note of Bueckers' in-flight meal, which the 23-year-old carried with her aboard the plane. It appeared to be an Italian sandwich of some sort, and it did not escape the watchful eye of the folks on social media.

“Didn't know paige was Italian💔” a comment on Instagram read.  

“crying,” replied a user.

“Is paige Italian?😭🤣🤣😆” asked another.

“An Italian sub hate to see Paige comin.” A reaction read.

“That Italian sub,” a fan wrote.

“Italian,” another said.

Bueckers was all smiles as she walked on the tarmac, which was the case for the rest of her Wings teammates as well. It appears that Bueckers and Co. are in good spirits ahead of the big matchup as they look to snap out of their current two-game losing streak and improve on their 6-15 record.
