Shilo Sanders' dreams of an NFL career have hit the skids, but the Colorado product does have a few backup plans.
After going undrafted in April, Sanders latched on as an undrafted free agent signing of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Sanders stuck through training camp and the preseason but failed to make the team's 53-man roster. Prior to final cuts, Sanders got himself ejected for throwing a punch during a preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.
While many expected Sanders to land on the Bucs' practice squad, that did not happen and the former Buffaloes defensive back remains a free agent.
Sanders' father, Deion Sanders, recently revealed that his son has a backup plan if his football career doesn't work out.
Deion thinks Shilo will be an actor or a streamer.
“I was gonna go down that avenue once upon a time,” Deion said on the Colorado Football Coaches Show on Thursday. “I think that’s the avenue that... or streaming... that Shilo’s gonna go down, because he has that gift, man.”
Shilo has also previously said that he's interested in music and modeling.
“You always want to have other interests that you’re interested in,” Shilo said last month. “I’ve always done that my whole life playing football, with music, acting, modeling.
"I’m well-versed, and my parents make sure of that, so I’ve been prepared for anything that happen, cause you never know what could happen," he added.
Sanders has already dipped his toe into the modeling and acting worlds.
Shilo modeled clothes in Paris last year, and he played the role of his father in an episode of a television show on Starz.
Considering Shilo's father had plenty of talents, also, it would appear that the apple didn't fall far from the tree.
