Over the past several days, Travis Kelce has made headlines while competing in a celebrity golf tournament alongside his brother Jason and a host of other athletes and A-list celebrities.
But on the horizon—just over a week away—NFL training camp for the 2025-26 season is set to begin. Kelce, who briefly contemplated retirement after the Kansas City Chiefs’ sluggish loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, ultimately decided to return for his 13th season.
On Sunday evening, the Chiefs posted a message about Kelce that fired up fans ahead of the new season, as the future Hall of Famer looks to bounce back and lead Kansas City once again.
"Lucky year 13 coming soon for @tkelce," Chiefs posted.
Fan reactions:
"Taylor’s lucky number," a fan said.
Someone else added, "year 13 sounds like a perfect time for ring 4."
Another person wrote, "Lucky number 13 you say?"
"Just gotta love this guy," one more fan commented.
Travis Kelce has cemented himself as one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, but even he admitted that he didn’t play his best football in 2024, finishing the season with 97 receptions, 823 yards, and just three touchdowns.
“I still feel like I can play at a high level and possibly at a higher level than I did last year,” Kelce said. “I don’t think it was my best outing. I think I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them.
Kelce added, “Especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past. I want to give it a good run. I have a bad taste in my mouth in how I ended the year and how well I was playing and how accountable I was for the people around me.”
