The Algeria A’ national team will compete in the 2024 CHAN in East Africa with a 26-man squad announced this Tuesday, July 22, by head coach Madjid Bougherra. The Algerian tactician made his final choices after several weeks of preparation in Algiers.

Algeria has officially released its roster for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). Madjid Bougherra, manager of the national team composed exclusively of players from the domestic leagues, has selected a total of 26 players. Among them, fans were surprised to see international players Zakaria Bouhalfaya, Ilyes Chetti, Naoufel Khacef, Mohamed Benkhemassa, Abderrahmane Meziane, and Aymen Mahious included.

For the tournament scheduled from August 2 to 30, 2024, Algeria finds itself in Group C. The local Fennecs will battle it out with Uganda, Niger, Guinea, and South Africa.
