Real Madrid have announced that midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni sustained a hamstring injury during Tuesday’s match against Liverpool and will be out for at least three weeks.
Per Realmadrid.com
After the tests conducted today on our player Aurélien Tchouameni by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the semitendinosus muscle of the left leg. Pending evolution.
Tchouameni will almost certainly miss at least Real Madrid’s next four games against Rayo Vallecano, Elche, Olympiakos and Girona, all of them away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
In his absence, Eduardo Camavinga will likely be the team’s defensive midfielder, with Dani Ceballos potentially getting some minutes as well. Tchouameni has been one of the most important players in Xabi Alonso’s system, so it will be interesting to see how the team performs without him.
