Despite ongoing problems with player registration, FC Barcelona are still hard at work behind the scenes, looking for ways to improve their financial situation.
According to La Vanguardia, the club has already taken several steps to reduce their salary burden and make room for new signings before the transfer window shuts.
So far, Barcelona have managed to free up around €21 million in salary margin. Ansu Fati’s loan move has saved the club €8 million, while the sale of Pau Víctor added another €9 million.
On top of that, Pablo Torre’s transfer to Real Mallorca brought in €4 million. These moves have been vital in creating room for potential new signings and player registrations.
Further savings are expected from Clement Lenglet’s recent switch to Atletico Madrid. The club is also considering exits for other squad players like Inaki Pena and Oriol Romeu.
Talks are ongoing for a loan deal involving youngster Hector Fort. Additionally, a permanent exit for a rarely used player—possibly even one considered a “painful” sale—is not off the table.
VIP seat deal could unlock registration freedom

The most significant hope for Barcelona lies in a deal involving the club’s VIP seats.
Even though the team won’t return to the Camp Nou for the Joan Gamper Trophy, the board remains confident that the ongoing audit process and La Liga will value their 475 VIP seats, loaned out for 25 years, at around €100 million.
If this valuation is approved, Barcelona expect to receive a positive verdict by early August, and full La Liga approval by mid-month. This would be a major step forward for the club.
With this deal in place and the ongoing player departures, club officials believe they can finally meet La Liga’s 1:1 rule, allowing every euro saved or earned to be reinvested.
This means they would no longer need to rely on Ter Stegen’s contract file to register new signings like Joan Garcia.
