Arsenal set to beat RB Leipzig to signing of Valencia defender

The 21-year-old centre-back has long been admired by The Saxons. As reported by GGFN in June, the Bundesliga side were ready to invest over €20m to sign the defender and were ‘optimistic’ in finalising a deal. So much so that there was already a verbal agreement between Leipzig and Mosquera.

Arsenal Now Favourites

However, despite the verbal agreement, Arsenal are now set to steal the defender from Leipzig.

The Gunners now have an agreement in place for Mosquera and are now looking to confirm the deal with Valencia. The defender currently has a market value of €30m, according to TransferMarkt.

Mosquera played in all but one La Liga game for Valencia last season and would join Arsenal with plenty of experience, having featured 90 times for the Spanish side at such a young age.
