£1.2 million pay cut? What the future may hold for Neuhaus

After his internal club suspension, Florian Neuhaus returned to professional training on Monday. However, his future remains uncertain following the Mallorca scandal video.

In the video that went viral, Gladbach's sporting director Roland Virkus was called the "worst manager in the world," and Neuhaus disclosed his salary: "Don Rollo gives Florian Neuhaus 1, 2, 3, 4 million euros."

As a result, the 28-year-old was demoted to the U23 team. He will apparently continue to play there. According to 'Bild', Neuhaus is not planned for the Gladbach professionals' test match against Brentford on Friday evening.

Instead, he is supposed to play with the Foals' reserves against Brentford's B team on Saturday morning.

Is this a preview of his future? In the current squad, Neuhaus is at risk of being benched, 'Bild' further reports. The question remains whether he would forgo 1 to 2 million euros in salary to play for another club.

According to media reports, Fortuna Düsseldorf is interested, but the second division club can only afford a quarter of his salary.
